Im a mom, activist and passionate about our fragile environment.

I created Sana.Sana Apothecary at the start of the 2020 pandemic isolation.

The name is inspired by the Spanish saying “Sana sana colita de rana, si no sana’s hoy, sanara’s manana.”

The translation is “heal heal little frog’s tail, if you don’t heal today, you will heal tomorrow”

This saying is something parents sing to children when they get sick or hurt to make them feel better and make the hurt go away.

I love this as a way to honor my Mexican heritage. I’m Mexican born and Los Angeles raised.

While working as a Hollywood hairstylist on set for over 25 years, Ive used a combination of medical grade alcohol and essential oils on my beauty tools, hands & table top station (and my aura, to keep the bad juju away.) I mix up small batches for use on set and on my work station.

I like refillable glass bottles. I want to make something useful and beautiful for your tabletop station, and help the world heal a little bit…if not today for tomorrow.

I felt it was a good time to share it with the world. I hope you like it.

Please reuse the glass bottle, even if you don’t refill from Sana.Sana Apothecary.

Spread Love not Germs,

Terrie
